Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi's son Seif al-Islam, who was rumoured to have been arrested by rebels, appeared at the Rixos hotel in Tripoli in the wee hours of Tuesday and spoke to some of the journalists staying there. Rebel leaders had claimed that Seif al-Islam had been arrested and he was expected to be tried at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. A vehicle of the United States consulate was targeted with a car bomb in Peshawar city in northwest Pakistan on Friday, killing one person and injuring 10 others. The blast occurred in Jamrud Road area of Peshawar on Friday morning, officials said. An armoured SUV from the US consulate bore the brunt of the blast and rammed into an electricity pylon.No American national was seriously injured in the incident, a spokesman of the US embassy in Islamabad said.
